The Monaco Better World Forum 2018 Awards are made from Humanium Metal by IM
There are hundreds of millions of illegal firearms in the world. As a result, someone is shot every minute. Armed violence is a global epidemic that hits developing countries especially hard. To tackle this problem, Swedish NGO IM has launched Humanium metal – a new material made of recycled metal from gun destruction programs.
Melting these weapons and using the Humanium Metal to create the awards of the MBWF whose symbol is a dove of Peace, immediately resonated in the heart of the founder and president of MBWF, Manuel Collas de La Roche, as promoting Peace is the main focus of everything he undertakes. Whether via the MBWF or the films of which he is the producer.
This partnership was initiated by Karolina Bomba (MBWF’s Artistic Director), who believes that a Better World and a return to global Peace are only possible without the use of weapons. And that a movement like «March for our lives» should be a model of social mobilization.
PEACE DOES NOT COME BY PRAYER, WE, THE HUMAN BEINGS, HAVE TO CREATE PEACE. ALSO, THE POWER OF TRUTH IS MORE POWERFUL AND SUSTAINABLE THAN THE POWER OF THE GUN. THEREFORE, THE HUMANIUM METAL INITIATIVE IS A SUSTAINABLE EFFORT TO MAKE THIS WORLD A MORE PEACEFUL WORLD THANKS TO CONCRETE HUMAN ACTION.
